Stay out of elections, president
Stay out of elections, president
Kenneth Brandt is absolutely correct about whether the president should be campaigning for a candidate. He should not. If he does, he is wasting the taxpayers’ donation to the government.
But let me take this one step further. Once a president takes office, he/she should not have any party affiliation. He should not take his time out from the Office of the Presidency to work for a candidate of his party — even himself. He should have no party affiliation, therefore he should not be allowed to take time from his job as president to campaign for someone he likes — including himself.
If the president is to be re-elected, it should be done by a political party: Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Green, whatever, not the president. The president should have no party affiliation and should never campaign for himself or anyone else since he should have no party affiliation as president. In any event, he should not be the leader of the party, whichever party it is. He should be above all that and simply be the president and nothing else but the representative of the people. That being said, I don’t want my tax dollars supporting a politician who is spending my tax dollars to support himself. Let the party spend their dollars to reelect a President if that is their choice, but don’t use my tax dollars for this purpose.

They are gone!
The Republican Party can thank the Democratic Party for rigging their own primary. That clearly sent a message to the American public. All they could come up against Trump was accusations, while Clinton had proven garbage starting with stealing from the White House, Benghazi, the email saga, not to mention the Clinton Fund-ation.
Hillary Clinton did not represent me! In fact, I believe she represented only herself. Our first woman president needs to be better than that. Just as our first black president needed to be better than Obama. He was a disgrace and did a complete disservice to our country, setting race relations back 50 years. Thank God they’re gone!
